Many of the items featured here are too large to fit on a standard scanner bed so in a number of cases I have scanned what I could and in addition have photographed the items ESQUIRE MAGAZINE
to show the full size and condition of the item. For some reason (maybe because I'm not a very good photographer?) the photos do not seem to be as crisp as the scans but I think you'll get the idea.

ESQUIRE GATEFOLDS & MISCELLANEOUS PAGES
ILLUSTRATIONS - These are all full pages (approximately 14" x 10") removed from incomplete magazines. The single full page illos are on a heavier stock paper than the multi-page features and tend to be in better shape. A few have uneven edges along the side closest to the spine and there is some light toning/browning. Both the uneven edges and toning/browning are more pronounced on the lighter stock pages. These were too large for the scanner bed so the edges have been cropped and as you can see nearly all defects can be easily trimmed from edges. | |

Another pin-up artist with a PLAYBOY connection is Alain Aslan from France.
His full-page illustrations of beautiful women appeared in most issues of OUI Magazine
from its first issue in 1972 until 1980. Most or all of these are usually available,
individually mounted and bagged, similar to the Vargas pages.
He also had numerous illustrations published in the French magazine LUI during the 70s.
